UNITECH 517-TUYA – a certified wireless photoelectric smoke detector designed for early detection of smoke and warning of potential fire hazards. The device emits an audible alarm of at least 85 dB and indicates danger with a flashing red LED indicator. When connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, status and alerts can be monitored remotely via the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
Wireless Smoke Detector with Tuya App
The detector is powered by two AA 1.5 V batteries, so it does not require a mains connection and can operate even in the event of a power outage. The large TEST/SILENCE button allows you to check its operation or temporarily mute the alarm for about 10 minutes, for example, while cooking. The device warns of low batteries with a short audible signal and indicator. The detector can be mounted on the ceiling or wall.

Advantages and What to Consider
- Advantages: loud 85 dB alarm, wireless operation, remote notifications on your phone, easy installation, TEST/SILENCE function, long service life.
- What to consider: 2×AA batteries are not included; a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection and a compatible mobile app are required. It is not recommended to install the detector directly in the kitchen, near the bathroom, fans, or air inlets, as steam and strong air circulation can cause false alarms.
