Jaxon ZS1 catfish fishing set: rod and reel

Jaxon catfish fishing set

Jaxon ZS1 is a powerful and practical catfish fishing set designed for anglers looking for reliable equipment for battling large catches. The set includes the exceptionally sturdy Jaxon Tenesa Catfish rod, the powerful Jaxon TOP CATFISH CT700 reel, and the Jaxon SUM vibration bite alarm. This combination helps you conveniently prepare for catfish fishing, whether from the shore or in other suitable conditions. The rod is made of fiberglass, features a two-piece design, and is characterized by its resistance to heavy loads.

Jaxon Tenesa Catfish rod

The 2.7 m long Jaxon Tenesa Catfish rod is adapted for especially heavy lures and large fish. Its casting weight reaches 450 g, allowing the use of larger lures and thicker lines or braided lines. The sturdy guides are made of high-quality materials, and the tip guide has a double ceramic lining. The sectional construction facilitates transport – the folded length of the rod is 141 cm. The fiberglass body is resistant to impacts, scratches, and difficult weather conditions.

Powerful Jaxon TOP CATFISH CT700 reel

The Jaxon TOP CATFISH CT700 reel is created specifically for catfish fishing. It is equipped with five bearings, including one anti-reverse bearing, ensuring smooth mechanism operation. The computer-balanced RES rotor helps ensure smoother rotation, and the precise front drag allows for better control of the fish during a bite and while reeling in. A sturdy metal handle with a large, comfortable knob provides stability when battling a large catch. The deep metal spool holds about 395 m of 0.40 mm diameter line, and the set also includes a spare spool. The gear ratio is 4.1:1, and the reel weight is 663 g.

Equipment

The set is ready for use, though the bite alarm requires three LR44 batteries, which are not included. A rod case is provided, making the equipment convenient to store and transport.

• Jaxon Tenesa Catfish rod, 2.7 m, casting weight up to 450 g;
• Jaxon TOP CATFISH CT700 reel;
• Jaxon SUM vibration bite alarm;

Vibration bite alarm

The Jaxon SUM alarm reacts to rod vibration, helping you detect a bite. The device's sensitivity can effectively be improved by attaching it higher up on the rod. Adjustable tones and volume allow you to adapt the signal to fishing conditions. The alarm is attached with an adjustable elastic strap that adapts to rods of different diameters. The bottom cutout helps to attach it securely, and the clamp with protrusions prevents the device from shifting easily. The compact size is convenient for storage in a case, bag, or fishing box.

Advantages and what to keep in mind

• Advantages: powerful rod for large catfish, durable fiberglass construction, large reel capacity, five bearings, precise front drag, spare spool, vibration alarm, and included case.
• What to keep in mind: LR44 batteries for the alarm are not included. The reel weight is 663 g, so the entire set is intended for sturdy and powerful catfish fishing equipment, not as a light, universal fishing kit.
